Dr. Chelsea Brockway’s path to orthodontics is rooted in a deeply personal journey that began at the age of 15. After having her braces removed, she experienced firsthand the transformative power of a confident smile. This pivotal moment ignited her interest in orthodontics, and by 16, she began working as a sterilization technician in her orthodontist’s office. It was there that she witnessed the profound impact of orthodontic care—not only on patients’ dental health but also on their self-esteem and overall well-being. This experience solidified her decision to pursue a career in orthodontics.
Dr. Brockway’s commitment to service and community outreach has played an important role in shaping her professional identity. She has participated in several dental mission trips, including with Somos Amigos Medical Missions in the Dominican Republic and Florida Mission of Mercy in the U.S. These experiences allowed her to see firsthand the critical need for both basic and advanced dental care, which inspired her to continue serving others and furthered her passion for helping people improve their lives through their smiles.
Her educational journey led her to Columbia University in New York City, where she earned her dental degree. The university’s location in Washington Heights, home to a large Dominican community, offered Dr. Brockway the opportunity to connect with her Hispanic heritage and become fluent in Spanish. As a Hispanic-American, this linguistic skill has enabled her to build stronger, more meaningful relationships with Spanish-speaking patients, allowing her to provide more compassionate and personalized care.
Today, Dr. Brockway is a dedicated orthodontist who is passionate about not only providing exceptional clinical care but also building lasting relationships with her patients. She remains committed to giving back to her community and ensuring that every patient leaves with a smile they can feel proud of. Through her professional expertise, cultural understanding, and dedication to service, Dr. Brockway exemplifies the values of compassion, excellence, and integrity in her approach to orthodontics.
